Massage Market's storefront and headquarters are located in Sarasota, Florida.  Owned and run by Licensed Massage Therapist Lauren Wood, Massage Market serves the bodywork industry and individuals who want to further their route toward a healthy lifestyle.

 Massage Market insists on personalized, customer-based service.  We are a small company and we like to know our customers as if we were your corner market store.  Questions about products, industry trends, bodywork modalities are always encouraged and feedback on purchases (or even on products we do not carry) is heartily welcomed. If we do not know the answers, we will certainly do our best to research them and reply as quickly as possible.

Owner Lauren Wood graduated from the Sarasota School of Massage Therapy in 1995 and has held a private practice, specializing in deep tissue work, ever since.  She purchased Massage Market (the storefront was known as Tools for Life) in 2008 and moved the storefront to be closer to the Sarasota School of Massage in northern Sarasota/southern Manatee.  Lauren has trained in Neuromuscular Therapies, energy work, Bamboo Fusion, and many other modalities. In addition to massage and the store, Lauren is a professional actor and singer and she appears frequently in the Tampa Bay area.

Susan Gaar is another Licensed Massage Therapist who also works at Massage Market.  Graduating in 1996 from the SSMT, Susan has trained in Neuromuscular Therapy, Lymphatic Drainage and other modalities. Susan is Massage Market's mechanical genius and is very adept at solving product problems.

Donna Gerdes comes from a background in the arts as both a performer and arts administrator.  A long time client of Lauren's massage practice, Donna is very familiar with bodywork and she quite enjoys the customer service angle of Massage Market.
